Roll 1

My first roll, what a thrill it was seeing these photos for the first time. This was shot on a 3+ year old roll of fuji X-tra 400 which had never been refrigerated. I had no idea if the camera even worked properly while I snapped my daily photograph. It was a massive relief when I get all my photos back from the guys at Hillvale Photo.

January 12th

Eli, her family, Clea and I have a share house family dinner outside. My first photo and the first time testing the camera’s timer.

January 13th

Sarah drops Bruce off before heading over seas. Bruce is a girl rabbit who eats better food than me.

January 14th

Beers/cokes with Miranda in the backyard. I don’t think she was as eager to be in front of the camera as I was to be behind it.

January 15th

Dude rocks out on a “Play Me, I’m Yours” piano on Bourke St.

January 16th

The temperature was up in the 40’s on this day and we had been bingeingĀ on zooper doopers to get us through it.

January 17th

Amanda’s going away party at the Brunswick Green.

January 18th

My second attempt at using the timer… It didn’t work so well. But this photo was taken at STA travel after booking my flights for Brazil.

January 19th.

Liz doing the tills at the end of the night.

January 20th

The mighty corolla heading up to Dayelsford full of lights for a shoot.

January 21st

A little jetty stretches out onto the water at dusk at the Dayelsford Lake House.

January 22nd

Heading to a local farm to shoot some fresh produce being picked with Jarad, Jacob and Brandon.

January 23rd

Wine pouring in the cellars at the Lake House.

January 24th

Sky and Karen at the Melbourne star before we started a grueling 8pm-7am night shoot.

January 25th

These cool cats were selling plates of home cooked Italian food at their garage sale in Brunswick. Had to stop off and grab a plate.

January 26th

Australia day at Alex Berry’s house in Flemington. Perhaps the beers are the reason my focus is on a post instead of anything of interest.

January 27th

Man washes car for the first time in 3 years in Northcote.

January 28th

Eli models (somewhat reluctantly) for my photo after I told her the light in her room was gorgeous… as is she!

January 29th

Morning light and art works.

January 30th

My first sunburn of the summer… I swear it takes one before I learn each year… hopefully embarrassing myself on here will stop me from letting it happen again.

January 31st

Two old men work on a car out the front of our house

February 1st

Justine’s Birthday party. This was after the beers and rum but before we got started on the bailey’s.

February 2nd

Josh grab’s a 6 pack of cider on this hot and sunny afternoon before I have to head back to work at 6.

February 3rd

Lady smokes and drinks an afternoon coffee on her front porch in Northcote

February 4th

Ben and Liv in the shed/bedroom.

That’s it for the first roll. Up next is a roll of Black and White ilford 400. I’ve never shot black and white and I’m really excited to be focusing on contrast as I take my photo each day with this next roll.
